Play Your Best Game TODAY!

Welcome to Spring!

One of the great benefits of working with people is how much you can learn. Every day is a new day of discovery and adventure. Much of life’s valuable wisdom comes from how we overcome setbacks, letdowns and disappointments, and continue forward.

A key to living in the present is to not let it be a rerun of the past. Honor the past, but play in today’s game.

I love baseball because every day you play a new game.

Yesterday’s score is in, the stats are compiled, the game is over and in the books. It’s history.

The only game that matters today is today’s game.

It’s dangerous to be thinking about yesterday when facing a 95-mile per hour fastball today.

In life as in baseball, every day is another game.

No matter how you played yesterday, today you have a new chance to bring your ‘A’ game.

Bring it!

If you don’t leave yesterday’s game in yesterday, you keep replaying it. Dwelling on yesterday won’t change yesterday.

What will change yesterday is letting go of it.

every day something is acquired.
In pursuit of wisdom,
every day something is dropped.’

******************************

Drop yesterday’s game.
Don’t carry it over into today.

To play your best today, play today’s game.

I recognize the more I hold on to yesterday, the more it affects today. I know I’m not alone. Holding onto yesterday is a strong human drive. Yesterday gives context for today; there would be no today without yesterday.

To play your best today, let go of yesterday.

It’s healthy to learn from it, unhealthy to relive it.
Like baseball, life is best played today!

Let go. Just let go. Yesterday is gone for good.
Suit up for today. Do your pre-game rituals.
Get your game face on.

Now, step on the field and get in the game.
Today’s game.

Play your best game, TODAY!

When you get the urge to look in the rear view mirror, make sure it’s today’s game face looking back at you.

Drop me a note tomorrow.
Tell me how you played today’s game.

I’m rooting for you!
