Birthday Love
On December 2, 1988 I got my best birthday gift ever. My son Adam was born. He’s 25 today and touring the Road to Hana in Maui. Happy Birthday, Adam. I love you!
This year is special. I begin my 60th revolution. In many ways, I am starting over.
We’re entering the Chinese Year of the Horse. I am a horse, born in the year of the horse, about to enter the year of the horse.
That’s an Astrological Triple Crown.
In the 1990’s, I often started my seminars with the phrase:
“The bridge to prosperity is to embrace NEW Game thinking, and preserve Old World values.”
In the “Old World” your word was your bond, your handshake was worth more than a contract, and your reputation mattered more than money.
In the NEW Game, your team is as important as your talent. Making your teammates better is as critical as playing your best. Creating the highest and best for all is the key to new game prosperity.
How will you build your bridge to prosperity?
Here’s are some things I wrote down:
Live in the present, and open the door to a new future.
Carry my knowledge, experience and wisdom from the past.
Leave behind the baggage of guilt, fear, worry and heartbreak.
Bring closure to, and release forever, incompletions, indecisions, mistakes, unkept promises, unpaid debts, and unfulfilled dreams.
Let go of the “shoulda, coulda, woulda’s” of yesterday.
Forgive myself, and others.
Forget, apologize, and put aside my ego and pride.
Acknowledge, honor, love, respect, value and cherish myself, praise my accomplishments and contributions, and be grateful, thankful and appreciative for who I am and what I’ve been given.
Trust myself and follow my True North.
Love my life, my livelihood, and my living.
ALWAYS put people before things.
Value fun and learning.
Pay more attention to the WHO, WHAT and WHY of life, than the WHEN and HOW.
Be content to be uniquely me, wonderful, powerful, irreplaceable and infinitely valuable.
Create the space for others to see, appreciate and embrace their unique, irreplaceable and infinite value.
Value what matters most.
Open up, share myself, and shine my light of love on the world.
Redirect my energy to find the highest and best in others.
Reclaim my self-esteem.
Release the untapped potential and value the intrinsic worth of everyone I meet.
Be my true self and true to myself.
Live more in balance and build an integrated life.
As every experience is a strand in the web of life, every person we touch and who touches us is part of the fabric of who we are.
You are part of the tapestry that is me.
You are a gift to be treasured.
Thank you for your birthday love.
With love back at ya,
Mitch
P/S ~ Today, all I wanna do is be with you.
THIS is what life sounds like to me… turn up your speakers <3
